“So will I have to buy armour, helmet, sword, etc before I can start?”
No. At least not straightaway. For training purposes at Keynes you just need a good pair of trainers, gloves and clothes you can move around in.
Before we go to shows, we will take you down the haberdashery shop to buy linen and wool and show you how to make yourself the basic soft kit (pictured left by Viscount Ranalf) of tunic, trousers, leather shoes and possibly a cloak or hood to added warmth.
The Group has a supply of shields and spears which we can lend out at shows and we will show you how to make your own tailor-made shields
After basic kit, however, you can go for full pose-mode (ably pictured right by Sir Roger) with even tartier kit.

| For women re-enactors, you can dress up as a boy and fight, or as a lady (similar to a tunic, but a little longer) with a wimple. Or you can do both; fearsome warrior one minute, demure damsel the next. | ||||||
